Pakistan has requested Afghanistan to hand over Mullah Fazlullah, claiming that he was involved in planning major attacks in Pakistan from across the border, including the attack on peace activist Malala Yousufzai, Express News reported Sunday night.
According to Foreign Ministry sources, Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar made this demand during her meeting with Afghanistan-Pakistan special envoy Marc Grossman, who arrived in Islamabad on Saturday for talks with political and military leaders on “issues of bilateral and mutual concern.”
Sources added that Fazlullah has been involved in planning 15 major attacks in Pakistan, from Afghanistan, including attacks on security check posts and villages which have claimed almost 200 lives.
Fazlullah, also nicknamed “Mullah Radio”, is the leader of banned militant outfit Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi (TNSM).
Known for his fiery radio broadcasts in Swat Valley, he is also sometimes referred to as chief of the Swat Taliban.

Typical Pakistan -- a cheap attempt to deflect anger at their inability to take on the TTP by inappropriately blaming Afghanistan. You have one of the most expensive military's in the World -- why not use it for a change.
In the first instance,it had been revealed, insurgents stationed in the Afghan remote area such as noristan are involved in the attack on teenager writer, now is undertreatment in the United Kingdom.
Some concerned quarters in Pakistan underlined TTP but now recently demanded by Pakistani authirty to American and Afghan high frofile reveals that groups hidden in the ridges and valleys mountains in Noristan bordering Pakistan is responsible for attack on Malala.
The past is witness,Pakistan handed over many militants to the United States demanded for,and were involving heinous crimes against the US and Afghanistan.
Now Pakistan is demanding for a man who involve in heinous crime, directly or indirecly responsible for the occurence taken place in the broad day light.Afghanistan must be cooperative in this connection otherwise bilateral ties may be effected that would be a no good omen for upcoming time between the two neighbouring countries.
Pakistanis cannot attack and capture Haqqanis but want the hapless Afghans to do the same thing in case of Fazlullah. Isn't this wrong?
Afghanistan has been asking Pakistan to deny safe haven to Afghan Taliban since the beginning of the war, to no avail. But, the shoe is on the other foot and it is uncomfortable!
When we had him............. we should have kept him - six feet under.
Any body aiding or abetting the terrorists even by silence in wake of bombings, murders and ransoms must be immediately arrested, tried and punished. If we do not do this means we are accepting lawlessness and have huge tolerance for the same. I want zero tolerance for any lawlessness and extra-constitutional authorities.
Would pakistan provide "concrete evidence" ?
These people should be hanged for the barbaric acts!!!
Hang this person!
TOO late! isn't it, these inefficient bureaucracies of ours. They have waken up to the reality now when whole world's press has diverted the focus from Pakistan after blaming her for Malalah attack for more then two weeks. A pathetic working???
Don't go back 1450 years, those rules were very good but 1450 years ago. If you want to live back 1450 you can, but don't force people like us(Pakistanis).
This is just a political stunt to counter charges made against Pakistan by Karzai and US repeatedly for allowing Afghan Talebans to use its territory in NW for mounting attacks deep inside Afghanistan, knowing fully well that the latter has no control whatsoever over the areas close to Pakistan border where Fazlullah is reported to be hiding. It would have been more appropriate if Pakistan had sought assistance from its strategic assets to do this job since they are doing a great favour by refusing to launch operations against them despite immense pressure from US and majority of Pakistanis as well.
