Nickie n Nina bring Eid collection to town
The Eid line is a precursor to their winter collection coming out at Fashion Week in October.

The vibrant colours of Nickie n Nina’s new Eid collection bejeweled the cozy Cigar Lounge at Cinnamon. The wooden flooring and spot lights accented the glitz and glamour and gave a very modern feel to the exhibit. The Eid line is a precursor to their winter collection coming out at Fashion Week in October.
This Eid, Nickie n Nina continue to play around with long flowing maxi shirts adorned with crystal, embroidery, laces, nets, block prints and screen prints. The union of the different textures of fabrics gave not only a luxurious feel but also added to the aesthetic appeal of each piece.
Along with the usual full length flowing kameez, the new introductory trend seems to be knee length shirts with ‘churidar’ pajamas or tights. Emerald green, purple, twilight blue, yellow and animal prints seem to have taken over the colour palette this fall. The use of this palate can be witnessed in Nickie n Nina’s latest collection inspired by different families of flowers.
Maliha Goraya, Managing Director of Nickie n Nina explained, “We have a huge clientele in Islamabad. We bring our collection here twice a year; once at the advent of spring and summer in March and once in Ramadan.” The collection not has a prêt line but also some formal wear. Aleema Amjad, a freelance interior decorator based in Islamabad, expressed how beautiful and different the collection is, bringing a breath of fresh air into the Islamabad fashion scene.
Nickie n Nina has ensured that each design is sculpted into only three pieces, with each piece made in a different colour. Shafaq Tariq a local housewife surveyed the clothes and exclaimed how intricate and beautiful they were, “I am a very old client of Nickie n Nina. I am unable to make frequent trips to Lahore and so I wait for this exhibition to spoil myself with a little retail therapy.” Women found the collection to be reasonably priced with the prêt line ranging from Rs8000 to Rs 36,000. What comforted the women splurging on Eid clothes was the new brand policy of donating a certain amount of the revenue to charity. Overall, the event was well managed and Islamabad welcomed Nickie n Nina with great hospitality.
