SHO told to record petitioner’s statement

Two CIA officials accused of snatching cash, motorcycle.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Tariq Mehmood Zargham on Friday directed the Kahna station house officer (SHO) to record the statement of a petitioner seeking registration of case against two CIA police officials allegedly involved in ransacking a man at gun point.


The judge ordered the petitioner to approach the police station concerned and directed the station house officer to record his statement. The judge also directed the SHO to take strict action against the accused if a cognizable offence was established.


Petitioner Bushra Bibi submitted that a few days ago her son was stopped by two unidentified men near Rohi drain, when he was on his way home after collecting rent from his tenants. She said the two men deprived her son of his motorcycle and the Rs10,000 he was carrying and pushed him into the drain.

She said he was pulled out by some passers-by, who also informed her. She said later when she and her son went to the police station, they found the two men having tea at a nearby roadside restaurant. She said they later learnt that the two men were CIA officials, later identified as Saleem and Habib. She said the men had returned the motorcycle but refused to return the money. She said she had complined to the SHO, but he had irnored them.

She requested the court to direct the SHO concerned to register an FIR against the accused men.
