The Sauvé Scholars Foundation is currently accepting applications for the 2013-14 Sauvé Scholars Programme, said a press release on Friday.

As per details on their website, www.sauvescholars.org, the programme is designed for highly motivated independent thinkers with demonstrated skills as agents of change.

Such individuals are offered a unique opportunity to spend nine months away from their studies or careers for a period of reflection and self-realization.

In August of each year, up to 14 young leaders from around the world gather in Montreal, Canada to embark on a programme combining reflection, study, travel and community engagement along with participation in conferences, seminars, cultural and sports events.

The academic home of the Sauvé Scholars is the internationally-renowned McGill University. The deadline to apply for the programme is November 1.
