Continuing violence: Six shops robbed, man gunned down

Shopkeepers expressed their concerns over the increasing incidents of thefts in the area.

MARDAN:
Six shops were looted and a man was gunned down in two separate incidents in the Takht Bhai tehsil of Mardan on Thursday. A Kot police official said that at midnight, a gang of thieves broke into a market in Kot and looted six shops. The official said that the thieves broke locks of shops and stole more than one million rupees and other valuables. Shopkeepers expressed their concerns over the increasing incidents of thefts in the area. In another incident in Takht Bhai, Javaid Ali registered an FIR at Saro Shah police station stating that his brother Mujahid Ali was on his way home when unidentified assailants opened fire and killed him. A case was filed against the unidentified culprits.
