Reception: Enforcement of rent law sought

The reception was arranged by Traders Welfare Association of Jinnah Super Market.

Traders have demanded implementation of Rent Control Act in the capital, establishment of multi-storey car parking plaza in all major markets. They made these demands at a reception held for the newly elected president of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Zafar Bakhtawari here on Thursday, said a press release. The reception was arranged by Traders Welfare Association of Jinnah Super Market. The ICCI president urged the government to implement the rent control act and announced that a campaign would be launched in this regard. Abbasi said that non-existence of a rent law in Islamabad is the main cause of rising rent disputes between tenants and owners of buildings and shops and this situation is also affecting business activities.
