Why should there be any problem in the matters of moon sighting when the Muslim intellectuals have already given total solution to this problem some 17 years ago. The Muslim intellectuals have established two websites to give, up to the minute report of observation of the crescent form across the world every month of the Islamic year. The websites are; www.moonsighting.com and www.icoproject.org. When such wonderful facilites are there for the benefit of Muslim Ummah of the whole world, then how can there be any problem for anyone? The news of Zilhijj moon sighting is that it has been seen in many countries between Australia and the Americas on the evening of Tuesday Oct.16, 2012. Consequently the Muslims from Australia to the Americas are poised to come together to celbrate Eidulazha on Friday Oct. 26, 2012. So how can the Muslims of Pakistan dare to disobey Allah and not celbrate Eid on the day Allah has chosen for the Muslims of the whole world i.e Friday? As far as sighting of moon in Pakistan is concerned, people should know and remember that most of the time they see the moon of the 2nd day and hence on Wednesday 1st Zilhijj, they saw the moon of the 2nd day. They will get to know this truth when the moon shows its correct age in later days. The moon has been seen in Australia on Oct 16, and it will show its age exactly according to the day it became visible first time, when it shows up on later days, even in Pakistan. People must remember to see the moon on the morning of Tuesday Nov. 6, 2012. That day they will see half a moon. It will be the 21st day of Zilhijj and not of 20th day. This will prove that they have seen the moon of the 2nd day on Wednesday. So i will plead with everyone to come together on Friday to celbrate Eidulazha to seek pleasure of Allah by obeying Him and show unity with Muslims of the whole world.
