Chaudhry Nisar warns NW operation will leave country more insecure

Opposition leader says the government wants to create a situation so that elections can be postponed.

ISLAMABAD:
Opposition Leader in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan warned on Wednesday that launching a military operation in North Waziristan without “doing any homework” will make the country more insecure.

Talking to the media in Islamabad, Chaudhry Nisar said that the public representatives are taken into confidence on such sensitive issues in democratic countries. He further alleged that the government wants to create a situation to postpone the elections.

The opposition leader maintained that no Pakistani was involved in the 9/11 attacks but the government has been fighting somebody else’s war since the last 11 years.

He added that his party Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) would not compromise on the dual nationality issue, however, seats should be reserved for Pakistani expatriates.

The opposition leader also condemned the attack on 14-year-old Malala Yousafzai who was shot by the Taliban for speaking against them.
