Levies personnel killed in attack on provincial minister
Two men firing on Minister Asfandyar Kakar's house were shot dead in return firing by a Levies Force personnel.

Two unidentified armed assailants and a Levies Force personnel deployed outside a minister’s house in Chaman Housing Scheme of Quetta were killed in an exchange of fire on Monday night.
Police sources said that unknown attackers came at house of provincial minister Asfandyar Kakar in Chaman Housing Scheme and opened indiscriminate fire at the house. "The Levies Force personnel deployed at the minister house for security received bullet injuries, however, he retaliated the firing that killed both assailants," police said.
The police rushed to the site and shifted the injured guard Shoaib and dead bodies of the two assailants to civil hospital. Later, the wounded guard was taken to combined military hospital due to his serious condition.
However, hospital sources said that the brave injured guard succumbed to his injuries.
Police said that they could not immediately offer an idea on why the attack was carried out. Authorities say they are looking into the incident. Though the assailants were identified as Jahangir Khan and Imran Khan.
Asfand Yar Kakar is the Provincial Minister for Food and belongs to the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
