Benazir hospital: Sharif given ‘30-day deadline’

"The PPP would stage a protest against the chief minister if he did not release the PC-1," says Tasneem Ahmad Qureshi.

State Minister for Water and Power Tasneem Ahmad Qureshi on Monday accused the chief minister of obstructing approval of plans for the construction of Benazir Shaheed Hospital in Sargodha. He was addressing a gathering of people after inaugurating Sui Gas connections for Sultan Colony. Qureshi said former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani had approved Rs7 billion for the construction of a 700-bed Benazir Shaheed Hospital but Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was deliberately its approval. He said the PPP would stage a protest against the chief minister if he did not release the PC-1 (project digest) within 30 days.
