Polio awareness: Cycle race, walk organized
The participants urged parents to get their children under five years of age vaccinated.

The city district government organised a cycle race and a walk on Sunday to raise awareness about polio ahead of a three-day vaccination campaign starting today. DCO Noorul Amin Mengal, World Health Organisation and Health Department officials, and members of the general public participated in the walk starting from the Liberty roundabout. The participants urged parents to get their children under five years of age vaccinated. The cycle race started from Hussain Chowk and ended at Liberty Roundabout. Addressing the participants, Mengal said more than 1.5 million children would be vaccinated.
