Gone in 60 seconds: Suspect escapes from police custody
A case has been registered against the policemen for negligence.
KARACHI:
A suspect, 35-year old Mehmood Ali, arrested for trying to rob a shop in Babar Market escaped from police custody on Saturday. Ali, who was shot in the leg, was handed over to Landhi police who shifted him to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Although two policemen, Bashir and Ejaz, were deployed at the hospital to keep watch, Ali managed to escape. A case has been registered against the policemen for negligence.
