EOBI: Rs1.65b collected in July-September
EOBI has a total of 86,725 registered employers, 5,184,983 employees and has approved 448,097 pension claims.

The Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) has collected Rs1.65 billion as EOB contributions during the July-September 2012 quarter; a review meeting was informed on Thursday. EOBI Director General (Operations) Javed Iqbal, while briefing the meeting, said that the EOBI has a total of 86,725 registered employers, 5,184,983 employees and has approved 448,097 pension claims since the inception of the EOB Scheme; which includes 288,877 old age, 7,451 disability, 130,130 survivors and 21,639 old age grant claims. He also said that the EOBI has disbursed Rs1.075 billion in pension payments among 0.448 million pensioners since its inception in 1976.
