Life attempt: News agency editor escapes attack
A group of journalists held a protest in front of the parliament house and demanded the arrest of assailants.

The editor of a news agency escaped a life attempt after unknown gunmen opened fire at him on Thursday. Tariq Nadeem, the editor of Network News International, was targeted near Faisal Avenue while he was on his way to work. He told the Kohsar police that the gunmen, riding a white Toyota Corolla, intercepted him and fired at him. However, he wasn’t hit by any bullet. One of the attackers was wearing the uniform of Punjab police, said Nadeem. The police registered a case and started investigations.
