Rugby: Pakistan aim for Asian qualification

Pakistan are set to take on Chinese Taipei, Korea and Kazakhstan in the group stages of the Mumbai Sevens rugby tournament, which is set to start tomorrow.
Hong Kong currently top the standings table on 31 points while Japan lie in an asterisked second place on 16 points. Joining the 10 core teams participating at all events on the 2012 Series are Chinese Taipei, the UAE, as well as hosts India, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, all making their 2012 Series debut.
The two remaining highest placed finishers on the HSBC Asian Sevens Series will gain automatic entry to the pre-qualification tournament to be held in Hong Kong next March.
