Football: Kaleemullah does the trick for KRL
Defending champions register 4-0 win over HBL in football league.
KARACHI:
Kaleemullah scored a hat-trick to fire defending champions KRL to an impressive 4-0 win against HBL in their ninth Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match at the Railway Football Stadium in Lahore yesterday.
Kaleem opened the account in the 18th minute to give KRL an early lead before it was doubled by Saddam Hussain at the start of the second-half. Kaleem then put two past the goal-keeper, in the 60th and 85th minutes, to complete the milestone.
Meanwhile, Mansoor Khan and Mujhaid scored a brace apiece to lead PIA’s 4-0 demolition of Baloch FC at the PAF Complex in Peshawar,
Mujahid drew first blood for PIA three minutes before the end of the first-half. The team showed no mercy then as they went on a rampage, scoring three goals in the space of five minutes, starting from the 68th. Khan put the icing on the cake by scoring in injury time.
In other results, NBP beat Wohaib FC 2-0, while ZTBL-Navy played out a 1-1 draw at the Jinnah Football Stadium in Islamabad.
