JCSC meeting: Armed Forces reiterates resolve to eliminate terrorism
Pakistan’s national security and emerging regional Geo-Strategic environment were discussed.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) meeting on Thursday reiterated their resolve to eliminate the menace of terrorism in the country and that the armed forces were ready to render any sacrifice for it.
The meeting, presided over by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Khalid Shameem Wynne, was held in Rawalpindi at the Joint Staff Headquarters, where issues relating to Pakistan’s national security and emerging regional Geo-Strategic environment along with the progress on the agenda points of last meeting came under discussion.
Participants of the meeting expressed their satisfaction over the Armed Forces’ level of preparedness to take on the challenges faced by the country. The senior military leadership reiterated the armed forces’ resolve to fight the menace of terrorism and were ready to render any sacrifice.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Secretary Defence, Secretary Defence Production, Chief of General Staff, Director General Joint Staff, Director General Inter Services Intelligence, Director General Strategic Plans Division and senior military officers from the three services.
JCSC is a quarterly moot of senior military leadership to assess and evaluate the operational preparedness of the armed forces, and to take stock of upcoming challenges.
