After the launch of Toni&Guy in Lahore two years ago, Shammal Qureshi and his diligent team at Toni&Guy Lahore have garnered a huge clientele because of their quality in service and fashion forward attitude.
After being nominated for a Toni&Guy International award last year, Shammal is now the bearer of the Best Salon Director title, which he received at a ceremony held in London this year — a well-deserved and earned title. He is the first Pakistani to be given such a prestigious award by Toni&Guy; the selection was made from a vast global network of Toni&Guy franchises.
“This is truly an outstanding recognition for all the work that my team has put in. We are, beyond doubt, elated and humbled at the same time,” said Shammal, owner and creative director of Toni&Guy Lahore, according to a press release. “It’s not about me or any one person, but how all of us have come together with passion and determination to make Toni&Guy Lahore one of the best salons in the global franchise — this makes all the hard work worth it.”
Established in August 2009, Toni&Guy Lahore has successfully transformed the definition of hairdressing, cuts and styles under the guidance and vision set by Shammal. In just a matter of two years, he marked his place and reputation as an innovative and pro-risk hairdresser and stylist in the fashion industry as well as in households. Toni&Guy participated in successive Fashion Weeks and Bridal Weeks which ultimately resulted in a globally-selected nomination and also went on to build trust in young girls and boys across the country, portraying themselves as an edgy and bold group of stylists.
The salon’s clientele continues to blossom while existing customers continue to remain loyal. Shammal and his creative team have come a long way since they started operations in 2009 with their innovative techniques, creative styles and expertise and now, have further plans to expand as an all-embracing multi-purpose salon: January 2013 will see the opening of a new international academy where Toni&Guy will be providing internal as well as external courses.
