Sher Afgan Niazi passes away
Niazi suffered from liver cancer and was unconscious for the past four days.
After battling liver cancer for six months, former federal minister Sher Afgan Niazi succumbed to his ailment on Thursday, Express News reported.
Niazi was unconscious for the past four days.
He had willed in his life that his son, Amjad Ali Khan will become his successor in politics.
Hailing from Mianwali, Niazi was the minister for parliamentary affairs during former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s government.
He had been elected to the National Assembly as a member of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in 2002 and had later joined Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q). Niazi had been twice elected as an MPA.
Niazi had later worked as Senior President of Pervez Musharraf's All Pakistan Muslim League (APML). He had later resigned from the party following differences with the party leadership.
