Diabetes awareness: Roche launches campaign
Pakistan has the seventh largest diabetic population in the world.

Roche Pakistan –one of the leading pharmaceutical companies of Pakistan – serving customers with innovative and quality products, launched an awareness campaign about diabetes and its prevention through Accu-Check Performa system – a blood sugar monitor. Pakistan has the seventh largest diabetic population in the world. Diabetes is not a disease that one should be afraid of, in fact a person can live a normal and healthy life if he or she takes certain steps such as regular blood glucose monitoring, diet control, and exercise. People need to be aware of their blood glucose level so that they can take the necessary steps and act accordingly. To bring awareness about diabetes and its prevention, Accu-Check Performa carried out an awareness activity in different malls of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. A stall was set up where people were informed about the importance of blood glucose monitoring and their tests were performed using Accu-Chek Performa.
