Owners’ bail pleas: Orient Labs case adjourned for Oct 9
The prosecution is to start its arguments on the petition at the next hearing.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Arshad Ali adjourned proceedings on the after-arrest bail pleas of Orient Labs chief executive Zaheer Iqbal and director Zafar Iqbal for October 9. The prosecution is to start its arguments on the petition at the next hearing. The counsel for the Iqbal brothers, and for the families of some of the 26 workers who died when the Orient Labs factory on Multan Road caved in back in February, have completed their arguments on the petition. Brothers Zaheer, Zafar and Zubair Iqbal, the owners of Orient Labs, are accused of various offences in connection with the incident, including criminal negligence, murder and attempted murder.
