Industrial hazards: NPO to arrange two-day course
The course will use videos, drills, presentations, exercises and group workshops.

The National Productivity Organisation (NPO), the Ministry of Industries in collaboration with the Safety Training Centre Lahore will organise a two-day training course at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) on October 17-18. NPO spokesman Ijazul Hasan said the course aimed at introducing practical ways to eliminate industrial hazards. He said the course would include topics like why safety is important; risk management; evacuation requirements, fire safety awareness; first aid; electrical safety; emergency response, accident investigation and personal protective equipment. He said that as technological systems got more complex, it became increasingly difficult to identify the hazards. The course will use videos, drills, presentations, exercises and group workshops.
