Nutrition: Healthy baby contest held
Over 3,000 children from 107 union councils and five tehsils participated.
BAHAWALPUR:
The Population Welfare Department on Friday organised a healthy baby contest.
It was amongst events planned for the Punjab Youth Festival 2012.
Over 3,000 children from 107 union councils and five tehsils participated.
Muhammad Ali from Ahmadpur East won first position, Ayesha from Bahawalpur got second position and Zarar Karim from Khairpur Tamewali got the third position.
District Health Officer Saeed Asghar, the chief guest, distributed prizes amongst the winners. The first prize winner was Rs7,000, the second prize was Rs5,000 and the third was Rs3,000. The event was attended by district sports officer, district population welfare officer and population DDO.
District Population Officer Zeeshan Arif said a similar divisional level contest will be held on October 11 in Bahawalpur in which the winners from all the districts will participate.
