Cricket: Zimbabwe start domestic season

This domestic circuit will be used to improve their game for future international games.

Even amidst political, economic or social troubles, Zimbabwe kicks off its fourth domestic season with a franchise system which will run until the first weekend in March 2013. It will be a limited-overs match series, and their season will not create much of an impact on the international cricket tournaments taking place as they will play on such a minimum scale, but the way it is structured is to reduce cost as Zimbabwe’s board battles with debt, according to ESPNcricinfo. This domestic circuit will be used to improve their game for future international games.
