Attempt thwarted: 10kg bomb defused on Frontier Road

Police was informed that a bomb had been planted on a bicycle parked by the roadside near a flour mill.

PESHAWAR:
Police defused a 10 kilogramme remote-controlled bomb on Frontier Road, near the border of Khyber Agency on Wednesday morning. They were informed that a bomb had been planted on a bicycle parked by the roadside near a flour mill. Police diverted traffic at the site and called in the bomb disposal squad (BDS). In the past two months, 10 bombs have been defused in the area, while four have exploded.
