Food poisoning: 40 faint from ‘contaminated food’
HAFIZABAD:
Over 40 people fainted from eating contaminated food ahead of a wedding at Chak Sajjada on Saturday. Guests had arrived at Rana Taj’s house to attend weddings of his son and daughter. The family said flour from Mohammad Siddique’s mill was used to prepare the meal. When served people became ill from eating. Some neighbours alerted informed Rescue 1122 who provided first aid and shifted Sakina Bibi, 55, and her two sons Atif Mukhtar and Hamza Mukhtar to the district headquarters hospital. An emergency has been declared at the hospital.
