Defending champions Young Rising Star FC made an impressive start as they defeated Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa 9-0 in their opening match of the eighth National Women’s Football Championship final round in Islamabad, yesterday.
Asmara Habib hit four goals, while Bushra Jamali scored a hat-trick. Meanwhile, Army crushed Azad Jammu and Kashmir 10-0 in the second match of the day, as Sana Gul scored four goals. In other matches, Islamabad defeated HEC 4-0, while Sindh and LSE played out a goal-less draw.
