Hospital violence: Attendants angry after patient dies
Hospital superintendent says patient had come with a burst appendix and was being treated when he died.

Visitors of a patient became angry and damaged furniture at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital when doctors could not save the patient’s life on Sunday morning. The superintendent of the hospital, Dr Nadeem Rajput, said that the patient had come with a burst appendix and was being treated when he died. “It was not possible to save him as his condition was critical, but the attendants resorted to violence and damaged hospital furniture,” he said. Two people were arrested by the Paposh Nagar police and an FIR was registered against the people for damaging government property.
