PESHAWAR:
Bodies of two men who were abducted earlier this month by a faction of the Taliban were found dumped in a field in Zangali area on Saturday.

Badabher Police Station House Officer Fazale Maula said the bodies are of constable Rasheed and Umar Jan, the police escort and driver of Bannu District Revenue Officer (DRO) Sajid Nawaz. They were among the six men abducted on September 18 from Matani allegedly by Tehreek-e-Taliban Adezai, a local militant group.

DRO Nawaz managed to escape the abduction after the abductors were intercepted by the police. The SHO said that both men had received one bullet wound in the head and their identity cards had been placed on their chests by their assailants.
