Ties With Turkmenistan: Minister, envoy discuss panel meeting
Relations between Pakistan and Turkmenistan are important and leaders of the two states should meet regularly.
ISLAMABAD:
Turkmenistan’s envoy Atadjan Movlamov called on Commerce Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim on Thursday and discussed matters pertaining to bilateral relations. Fahim said that relations between Pakistan and Turkmenistan were important and that leaders of the two states should meet regularly to enhance ties and trade. He said that though “we have good trade relations but there is still more scope”. The ambassador said that future relations between Pakistan and Turkmenistan should be based on market access and trade especially in context of Turkmenistan as a transit country for Pakistani products. Fahim and the ambassador exchanged views on Joint Government Committee Meeting to be held between the two countries later this year in Pakistan.
