Monsoon 2012: PAF launches relief operations
Two thousand packets containing essential food items and clean drinking water have been despatched.
ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Air Force has actively started relief operations for people affected by the floods in Jacobabad, Sukkur and Rajanpur. Two thousand packets containing essential food items and clean drinking water have been despatched and distributed to these areas. A crisis control cell has been established at the air headquarters in Islamabad to centrally control the rescue and relief activities. A medical camp has also been established outside PAF Base Shahbaz, Jacobabad to provide emergency medical facilities to the stricken people. Besides this camp, a mobile medical team of doctors, paramedics is providing medical treatment to all flood-affected people of Jacobabad and the surrounding areas.
