Khar to kick off US tour from Sept 18
Zardari to address UN General Assembly session on September 25.
WASHINGTON:
Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar is due to arrive in Washington on Tuesday as part of her five day trip to the United States.
According to the schedule released, Khar is due to meet with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton along with members of Congress. She will also speak at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Following the round of meetings inWashington DC, Khar will join President Asif Ali Zardari at the UN on September 25.
Zardari is due to address the UN General Assembly in New York on the first day of the session.
US President Barack Obama is also scheduled to address the UNGA on the morning of the session.
