Homemade bomb: Government school destroyed
The school was only constructed 18 months ago.
MARDAN:
Unidentified assailants blew up a government boys middle school in Babozai Bharat Khel, Mardan. The school was only constructed 18 months ago.
SHO Hidayatullah Shah said that the incident occurred around 2am and that eight kilogrammes of explosives were used in the blast. Four classrooms were destroyed and two were partially damaged.
Bomb disposal squad officials said the explosive device used in the blast was homemade.
DPO Sirajul Haq has constituted a special squad to investigate the incident.
Police registered an FIR against unidentified militants but no arrests were made until the filing of this report.
