Sunday bazaars: Committee secy arrested, inspector suspended

DCO directed officials to ensure that only best quality products were sold at these facilities.

LAHORE:

Tajpura Sunday Bazaar market committee secretary Tahir Abbas was arrested on Sunday over customers’ complaints about substandard items.

At Qaziabad Sunday Bazaar, a building inspector, Zahid Mehmood, was suspended from duties over similar complaints.

The decisions were taken by District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal during his visits to check arrangements at several Sunday Bazaars in the city.

The DCO inspected the prices and quality of fruits and vegetables at these facilities and listened to the customers complaints. He directed officials to ensure that only best quality products  were sold at these facilities.
