Tragedy: Man killed in road accident
The police added that the vehicle’s driver has been taken into custody.
ISLAMABAD:
A man was killed in a road accident on 9th Avenue on Sunday. The Margalla police said that the deceased, identified as 25-year-old Hafiz Safdar Hussain, was hit by a vehicle (GD-909) belonging to CDA as he tried to cross the busy road, and died on the spot. The police added that the vehicle’s driver has been taken into custody. “He didn’t try to escape and it appears that he isn’t at fault since Hussain came in his way by mistake,” said a police official. However, further investigation is underway.
