Cricket: Deccan take BCCI to court
Deccan Chargers have challenged the BCCI’s decision to terminate the franchise.
The Deccan Chargers have challenged the BCCI’s decision to terminate the franchise, taking the matter to the Bombay High Court yesterday morning, according to ESPNcricinfo. The lawyers of the BCCI and Chargers presented their cases, but as no decision was passed, the hearing has been scheduled for tomorrow. “The BCCI would like to clarify that the counsels of both sides were present in court at 10.30am on Saturday,” said the Indian board in a statement. “The court heard both parties, and did not pass any order staying the termination. The matter has been placed for hearing on Monday. The information that the termination of the franchise has been stayed is incorrect.”
