Legislation soon: Prescription-based sale of medicine
Effective regulations are being introduced in the country to stop the misuse of drugs: Minister
ISLAMABAD:
Federal Minister for National Regulations and Services Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has underscored on the need of cooperation among different departments and interaction with international institutions to eliminate the menace of narcotics. The minister said effective regulations are being introduced in the country to stop the misuse of drugs used in the operation theaters of hospitals and for the purpose the provinces would have to follow the policies made by the federal government. We are also making legislation for the sale of medicines through prescription of a doctor alone, she added.
