Balochistan: $10m grant approved for girls’ education
Government to build 130 girls’ schools that are at present roofless and provide missing facilities.
ISLAMABAD:
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Balochistan Multi Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) have approved $10 million grant for promoting girls’ education in Balochistan. According to a statement issued on Wednesday, they also approved additional financing of $2.75 million for strengthening the governance in the province. The Secondary Education Department, of Balochistan will implement the project, it added. The government will build 130 girls’ schools that are at present roofless and provide missing facilities including toilets, drinking water, boundary walls, blackboards and furniture.
