Four held for murder of lawyer’s daughter
The court adjourned the suo motu hearing till September 16.

The Lahore High Court was informed on Friday that four suspects of the murder of a lawyer’s daughter in Sheikhupura had been arrested and were currently on physical remand.
The court adjourned the suo motu hearing till September 16. Zahid Sherazi, the Investigation Branch SPP, submitted that the suspects were being interrogated. He assured the court that they would be dealt with strictly, in accordance with law.
At the previous hearing, Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif had allowed the police to arrest all suspects involved in the murder of daughter of Advocate Irshad Malik. SSP Sherazi had filed an inquiry report, naming Ashfaq Haider, his son Mubashar and their servants Boota Masih, Zeeshan alias Shani and Imran, as suspects. The officer had said they were involved in various cases of dacoity, robbery and theft. He said that the father of the deceased had contested a number of criminal cases against Ashfaq and his family and that Ashfaq had warned him not to pursue cases against him.
