Cruel Crime: Newborn baby stolen from BBH
A woman claiming to be a nurse asked the parents to hand over the baby for a vaccine shot.
RAWALPINDI:
A newborn baby was stolen from Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) on Monday afternoon.
Muhammad Meharban, the baby boy’s father, told the Waris Khan police that he and his wife Aqsa were at one of the gynaecology wards along with his mother when a woman claiming to be a nurse asked them to hand over the baby for a vaccine shot.
After a while, when the woman did not return, Aqsa informed the staff and the police were called. A deputy medical superintendent at BBH confirmed the incident.
The police have registered a case but the suspect and the baby had still not been found when this report was filed.
