Successful Raid: Kidnapped girl recovered

UPPER DIR: A kidnapped girl named Bus Gul, who had been missing for 64 days, was recovered on Monday and presented before the court.

Talking to reporters at the district press club, DSP Fazal Rabi said that the 11-year-old was kidnapped from Ashirai by Akhat Hussain and Sher Ghani.

“The kidnappers kept her in at least 10 different locations,” he said.

Acting on a tip-off, police recovered the girl and arrested two kidnappers. The accused were planning to move the girl from Bantar Village to another remote area.

Gul said that five people kidnapped her on gunpoint. “They used to beat me up if I screamed,” she added, appealing to the chief justice to punish the kidnappers.
