PHC Orders: Alleged militant facilitator granted bail
PHC accepted the bail request of Dr Iftikhar Ahmed, who was arrested for allegedly helping two militants escape.

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) accepted the bail request of Dr Iftikhar Ahmed, who was arrested for allegedly helping two militants escape.
Ahmed, a dental surgeon at Peshawar Central Jail, was accused for facilitating the escape of Nadeem Abbas and Zaqeem Shah from police custody on August 12 last year.
No direct evidence had been collected against the accused hence the bail petition was accepted against Rs0.5 million with two reliable sureties, said PHC Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan.
The CJ said that Ahmed be posted at Kalash or Garam Chashma in Chitral Valley within 15 days. A copy of his transfer orders must also be sent to the court.
