Andre Ward defended his WBC-WBA super middleweight titles by knocking out Chad Dawson. The performance was completely dominated by the unbeaten Super Six champion, who had WBC light heavyweight champion Dawson on the canvas three times altogether, according to Sky Sports. Ward took control and knocked down Dawson towards the latter part of the third round, finishing him off with a combination style 15 seconds before the end of the 10th round. “That’s what we needed,” said Ward. “A lot of people in boxing are knockout hungry. I tell people you can still entertain without a knockout but it’s always great.”
