Get the look: Classy in white

White was an all time favourite at the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony this week and while Rihanna stunned everyone in a white dress and showed off her new dangerously short hair cut, singer Taylor Swift chose to play with a blank canvas too. She was spotted at the event in a white pantsuit by J Mendel.

Make-up

Taylor is a hardcore fan of the colour red and this is probably the umpteenth time we are spotting her going with the 50s classic look. The singer went with smokey eyes and a dark pout, one of those combinations very few know how to rock. For that winged look, go for liquid eyeliner you are actually comfortable with. We would have liked her look more if she had kept her locks towards the darker side of the hair colour spectrum. You can try to experiment and go for darker curls if you want to come across as a teasing mix of naughty and nice.

Accessories


Taylor Swift turned to her personal collection of jewels and picked a big diamante ring and matching silver blingy earrings for this event. While the singer chose to keep things pale you can oomph up your white suit by adding a pop of colour through smart accessorising. Pick a statement necklace with shades of blue, greens and purples and pair it with matching earrings.

Outfit

Taylor Swift channelled Bianca Jagger circa Studio 54 in a white pantsuit from J Mendel. One can find a similar stunning white slim fit blazer and pant suit at Mango. It would burn your pocket a little and may even ruin your savings plan but only a lover of white can understand the true worth of this suit. You can add a pop of colour to your suit by wearing a black or even a red tank top under your white jacket.

Shoes
