Bright future: ‘All stakeholders have to work for improvement of literacy’
Pir Mazharul Haq says the present government’s biggest achievement was recruitment of teachers on merit.

Sindh Senior Minister for Education and Literacy Pir Mazharul-Haq has said that the efforts of the current democratic government in the sphere of education will bear fruit very soon.
He was addressing a seminar regarding International Literacy Day organised by the Directorate of Literacy and Non-Formal Education, Education and Literacy Department Government of Sindh at Sindh Madarsa-ul-Islam University on Saturday.
Haq said that the present government’s biggest achievement was recruitment of teachers on merit. The senior minister said that according to Article 25-A, it is now a fundamental right of every children aged 5-16 to receive an education. “It’s the collective responsibility of the government and parents. The legislation in this regard is in its final stages,” he added.
