Involuntary disappearances: UN team to visit Pakistan on Sept 10

The primary mandate of the working group is to promote communication between families of disappeared persons.

ISLAMABAD: On the government’s invitation, a two-member team of the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances will visit the country on September 10.

The primary mandate of the working group is to promote communication between families of disappeared persons and the concerned governments to ascertain whereabouts of disappeared persons.

The UN team should visit the terror training camps in Afghanistan and will be able to locate maximum missing persons. Other are in Dubai, London and Switzerland.

Has this government lost all its marbles? Why its asking UN intervention why can't they themselves for once start functioning like a government and if the reason is establishment no on is holding them from resigning laying out their case and going for fresh election.
