Two people, including a child, were killed when a stray mortar shell landed on a house in Sipah area of Bara tehsil, Khyber Agency, on Thursday.
The line officer in Bara tehsil, while talking to The Express Tribune, said that a child and a man were killed in the incident, which occurred around 5:30pm.
“There are reports that more mortar shells fired from unknown locations have hit other residents in the area also, but, the number of casualties and injured cannot be ascertained,” the officer added.
On Wednesday, eight people, including two women, were wounded when a stray mortar shell hit their house in Malikdin Khel area of Bara.
