Polio campaign: 16.9 million children to be immunised
Mobile teams as well as fixed polio vaccination points were being set up in the targeted districts.
ISLAMABAD:
The next round of the three-day polio immunisation campaign is set to commence from September 10. Covering 89 districts of the country, the campaign will target 16.9 million children under the age of five years, according to an official of Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI). Mobile teams as well as fixed polio vaccination points were being set up in the targeted districts while a simultaneous awareness campaign will be initiated to educate parents on the importance of administering anti-polio drops to their children.
