Singer and actor Ali Zafar has been invited as a speaker at the prestigious India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2012.
This day-long conference is an annual event specifically designed for the youth where celebrities, politicians, key opinion formers, self-made businessmen and sportsmen will speak on inspiring topics and incidents from their personal and professional lives. The idea is to encourage the Indian youth toward a better and more progressive future.
The eager audience will interact and openly discuss a myriad of topics with their idols and role models. The star of Tere Bin Laden, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, and London Paris New York, Ali Zafar has been invited to speak at the conference as well.
His invitation to this prestigious event is a testament to the waves he is making on an international platform. It is also a testament to the power of art, showing that it can successfully transcend cultural and national boundaries and have a voice of its own.
The summit offers open interaction and discourse on numerous topics. The Mind Rocks concept works on the premise that an informal gathering that encompasses two-way dialogues with key speakers is an excellent way of social exchange and communication.
The festival celebrates ideas, music and art by recognising the best in the field and also gives the youth a stage to create, perform and engage. “Be the Best You” is the theme being followed this year.
Other speakers at the summit include music director Anu Malik, fashion designer Masaba Gupta, film director and writer Imtiaz Ali, founder of naukri.com Sanjeev Bikhchandani and actors Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Sonam Kapoor among others. The major names in athletes and sportsmen include Olympic bronze medallists Sushil Kumar and Mary Kom.

@ethicalman: Lame comment again. Singers Like Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu and actors like Naseerudin Shah, Nandita Das and Neha have sung songs for dramas and acted in movies. Little knowledge is dangerous. And by the way we have plenty of talented people among 180 million people, that u indians have to import our talent.
@ethicalman: we dont want them to come....only Mohajir in Pakistan love Indians.
Ali Zafar is handsome and beautiful actor in Bollywood industry.I like Ali zafar songs and his acting too.London Paris Newyork film is very attractive.Bollywood me ab young actors ko hi kam dena chaiye. porane actors e.g. Salman khan,Amir Khan and Shahrukh khan ko ab retire ho jana chaiye.New Talent ko Chance dena chaiye

Exactly the same here in Pakistan. Many of us endure your horrible copies of hollywood movies being shown in Pakistan, but what can we do.
i dont understand why pplz start fighting for silly things.....especially pakistani and an indians.....this guy ALI ZAFAR among us young pplz doing a good job whatever hes doing so we should appreciate his good work rather than measuring him in religion, country or skin colour,,,,, whether hes ALI,OR ARJUN whether hes PAKISTANI OR AN INDIAN ,,,, guys appreciate his work rather than where he comes from or who is he.....FULL STOP.... THANKS ALOT.
Best of luck Ali... people of both countries want to live in peace.. I think celebrities are playing there roles as peace embassidors
gud bhai! We love u!
@Aijaz
Buddy it seems more like an Indian newspaper. It contains more news from Indian than from Pakistan. :)
@Vikas: Same reason, we don't like but you still come back to read Pakistani newspaper.
Sonam Kapoor will be there as well. INDIA TODAY seems to be competing with PUNJAB KESARI ( Hindi Newspaper from Jalandhar )
Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Sonam Kapoor Inspiring People!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Sohail: Musharraf dod not defend anything with confidence or pride. The fact that a dictator was speaking on behalf of Pakistan in India was shame enough but he only succeeded in making himself and his government look even more foolish in the eyes of others. I for one don't care whether Ali Zafar or any other Pakistani wants to go to Sri Lanka or India or Burma to speak at some conference.
@Vikas Because your own countrymen invites them.. So pose this question to them and dont troll around here!!!
By the way, these so called artists can do pretty much anything for money, fame and un-necessary projection!!! Honestly, not a big fan of Pakistanis working in India and not being valued as alluded in the above comment!
I'm sick of this guy!
I think its the same event where Musharraf was invited, was fired myriad of Questions and Mush defended Pakistan with confidence and pride. Dont think Ali would be able to do the same. Anyway Best of Luck mate..
