Singer and actor Ali Zafar has been invited as a speaker at the prestigious India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2012.

This day-long conference is an annual event specifically designed for the youth where celebrities, politicians, key opinion formers, self-made businessmen and sportsmen will speak on inspiring topics and incidents from their personal and professional lives. The idea is to encourage the Indian youth toward a better and more progressive future.

The eager audience will interact and openly discuss a myriad of topics with their idols and role models. The star of Tere Bin Laden, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, and London Paris New York, Ali Zafar has been invited to speak at the conference as well.

His invitation to this prestigious event is a testament to the waves he is making on an international platform. It is also a testament to the power of art, showing that it can successfully transcend cultural and national boundaries and have a voice of its own.

The summit offers open interaction and discourse on numerous topics. The Mind Rocks concept works on the premise that an informal gathering that encompasses two-way dialogues with key speakers is an excellent way of social exchange and communication.

The festival celebrates ideas, music and art by recognising the best in the field and also gives the youth a stage to create, perform and engage. “Be the Best You” is the theme being followed this year.

Other speakers at the summit include music director Anu Malik, fashion designer Masaba Gupta, film director and writer Imtiaz Ali, founder of naukri.com Sanjeev Bikhchandani and actors Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Sonam Kapoor among others. The major names in athletes and sportsmen include Olympic bronze medallists Sushil Kumar and Mary Kom.

@ethicalman: Lame comment again. Singers Like Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu and actors like Naseerudin Shah, Nandita Das and Neha have sung songs for dramas and acted in movies. Little knowledge is dangerous. And by the way we have plenty of talented people among 180 million people, that u indians have to import our talent.
