Federal or provincial?: PHC seeks clearance on FC’s status

PESHAWAR:
The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has asked Frontier Constabulary (FC) officials to inform the court whether the FC falls under the domain of the federal or provincial government. The bench was hearing a writ petition filed by officers who had been sacked for allegedly refusing to take part in an operation in Frontier Region Kohat in 2010. The bench said that before deciding on the case, it should first be clear whether the FC comes under the federal or provincial government’s control.
